It's much more rewarding too, as I've noted. If I want to prevent you from serving a ball as soon as it spawns, this is much much easier than juggling a corpse and timing correctly so that it passes the ball spawn awkwardly at the right moment. Then not only have I prevented you from effectively serving from that position, I have either gained ball control or outright killed you depending on our positioning. If I want to stop you from hitting the ball at the apex of it's spawn, I can just wait for you to hit it and hit it right after. The means the ball will drop to its resting position (or however far down you have to wait), and you'll have to serve from there. The most disruptive thing I can think of is sending the corpse across on the intial ball spawn, so the opponent is forced to let the corpse pass before hitting the ball (or deal with hitting both at once). With how quickly one can gain meter in this game as well (bunt hit gives you half a special), meter for the opponent isn't even that valuable (but worthy of note I suppose).Īs for disrupting a serve, there is so much more one can do to disrupt a serve without having to keep a corpse in motion. And they can do this with much less restriction than you, as comboing a corpse has pretty heavy limitations, moreso than a ball (especially with a wall involved). They can build meter even faster than you (as bunted ball gives 2 meters, bunted corpse still only gives 1), while maintaining ball control and setting up whatever they need. Yes, you could get meter from it, but at the cost of giving your opponent free control of their serve. Corpse juggling was difficult and fun, and the 'advantages' it gave were minimal and often outweighed by the disadvantages. I understand the reasoning, but it's a change to an imagined problem. Seems like a strictly unfun change to me. I don't agree with it, as the only complaints I've seen about it have been theorycrafting of "this sounds overpowered." I haven't heard anyone who's seen it in practice complain about it. I want to know (and it to be known) how the rest of the community feels about this change. If you don't support it, please post in this thread. If you support this change, please post in this thread. As a preliminary way of reaching out to the developers, I hope we can use this thread to discuss this change. In talking with fellow players in the Lethal League community, I have heard overwhelming disappointment in this change, thus the creation of this thread. I suppose I'm open to different approaches, being able to hit corpses is one of the key features after all. the corpse juggling limit is an arbitrary limit imposed to stop them from interfering too much with the next burst, due to free energy but also being caught in hitpause as the opponent.
